Fan Friday: Typography Art by thespngames

Every Friday here at TMI Source is Fan Friday, where we feature a fan who has demonstrated creativity and passion for Cassandra Clare, The Mortal Instruments or The Infernal Devices.

I’m sure you’ve all seen loads of fanart, ranging from stunning graphics to spectacular character drawings – well, how about typography? It might seem a bit dull – but typography is quite an art. It’s taking Cassie’s words to the next level; seeing your favourite character quotes in such a beautiful form – well that tends to make any fan’s heart melt  into a whole lot of feelings (…and since this is Cassandra Clare’s books we’re talking about, feelings = heart-break!)

So this week we’re featuring the tumblr user thespngamesstunning typography! As always, don’t take my biased opinion fellow readers, but feel free to scroll down below and be over-loaded with a whole load of feelings.

(Don’t forget to click for a higher resolution!)

And yes, there are a lot more typography posts by this artist which you can find on their blog! (Click here for The Mortal Instruments quotes and here for The Infernal Devices!)

My favourite is definitely the Periodic Table of TMI Characters – that’s not only quite a lot of hard work, but coming up with the idea itself is amazing! ♥ Which one is yours? Feel free to leave your opinion in the comments!

And if you are a fan of TMI/TID/TDA and want your art to be published here, feel free to e-mail TMI Source with links to your artwork! And as always, don’t forget to check back next week for another Fanart Friday :)

  1. I really like how this person took those lines that mean so much and made it art. I do consider typography an art and not everyone has the patience to do it. Also, my favorite one is when jem says that he offers Tessa his life even though it’s short, and his heart.
