Constantin Film confident in ‘THE MORTAL INSTRUMENTS: CITY OF BONES’

City of Bones movie cut

Constantin Film is certainly confident in The Mortal Instruments film franchise. A couple of weeks ago, the studio announced that production on The Mortal Instruments: City of Ashes would begin in the fall. The announcement came four months before the first film in the franchise, The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones, hits theaters on Aug. 23.

In a statement discussing Constantin Film’s first quarter performance, Chairman of the Management Board, Bernhard Burgener discussed the studio’s confidence in The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones when it makes its worldwide release this summer.

“We are eagerly awaiting the theatrical release of our international major production “The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones”, which is already being actively discussed today among fans and experts alike.”

Mister Smith Entertainment, the franchise’s financier, is busy at the Cannes Film Festival shopping the sequel, The Mortal Instruments: City of Ashes.
