Elyas M’Barek at the 20th Hamptons International Film Festival

Our German vampire lieutenant, Elya M’Barek, was seen Saturday at the 20th Hamptons International Film Festival at the Suna Residence on October 6th in the East Hamptons, New York. Elyas M’Barek showed up at the Chairman’s Reception Honoring Richard Gere, Ann Roth and James Schamus.

The Hamptons International Film Festival was founded to celebrate Independent film – long, short, fiction and documentary – and to introduce a unique and varied spectrum of international films and filmmakers to our audiences. The festival is committed to exhibiting films that express fresh voices and differing global perspectives, with the hope that these programs will enlighten audiences, provide invaluable exposure for filmmakers and present inspired entertainment for all. The 20th Annual Hamptons International Film Festival will take place October 4-8, 2012.

Elyas M’Barek was also seen at the Variety Performers Brunch at Nick & Toni on October 7th along with Boyd Hoolbrook, Nate Parter, Scoot McNairy, Domhnall Gleeson and Adam Driver.

Elya’s M’Barek must be a very busy vampire, flying back and forth from coast to coast.

Jonathan Rhys Meyers will play Valentine Morgenstern in CITY OF BONES.

According to the Spanish news site Fotogrammas, our beloved villain, Jonathan Rhys Meyers is set to star in director Isabel Coixet’s next movie: PANDA EYES.  Sophie Turner from GAMES OF THRONES is also expexted to appear along with Jonathan Rhys Meyers. Filming is set to start in Cardiff, Wales after Isabel Coixet finishes her latest project.

“Panda Eyes” is described as “a supernatural thriller that plays tricks with the mind and raises questions about just how unique we are.” It’s been adapted from Cathy MacPhail’s novel “Another Me”. The young adult book is about a teenage girl who starts noticing strange things, including a possible doppelganger following her around

No offical confimation has been made on how Jonathan will be able to squeeze in this thriller project along with the  CITY OF BONES and DRACULA filming schedules.

Seems like Jonathan is heading down a dark path with plenty of opportunities to practice his villain skills.

Robert Sheehan’s story as Stephen continues

Anna Maxwell Martin plays prison officer Tina who is escorting Stephen Cartwright to a young offenders’ institute.

Tonight’s must-see is BCC One’s ACCUSED where Robert Sheehan’s story as Stephen Cartwright continues. The british hit series ends tonight with a powerful and upsetting story that follows up from last week’s episode.

A week ago we saw Stephen (Robert Sheehan) stab his dad’s partner with a kitchen knife and now he explains to Tina in the taxi that Alastair Campbell made him do it.

Stephen is obviously not quite the full ticket, but with just Tina and one colleague (Ewen Bremner) to care for an entire wing, she can’t give him the attention he needs. We know from the outset that Tina will be the one who ends up in the dock. But the crime she has committed isn’t revealed until the very end.

Like so many of the subjects in Accused, her actions make her a hero instead of a villain, and her story reveals the weaknesses in the prison system and the stresses that places on the officers who are trying to do what must feel like an impossible job.

John Bishop returns as Stephen’s dad and in a few brief scenes.

The line between hero and villain is blurred again in this powerful show on BBC One at 9pm

Experience Robert Sheehan on BBC’s Accused tonight

Robert Sheehan (Simon) from Love/Hate and Misfits will appear in the drama series Accused at 9.00pm on BBC One tonight, Tuesday August 28th.

17-year-old teenager Stephen Cartwright (played by Irish actor Robert Sheehan) stands charged with a serious offence, in Jimmy McGovern’s drama, as his anxious father Peter (John Bishop) looks on. Some months previously – as depicted in the story- Peter had been doing his utmost to help his sons Stephen and Dom face the imminent death of their beloved mother. Stephen had grown suspicious about his mother’s palliative care nurse Charlotte(Sheridan Smith). Then Stephen’s father appears to move on rather briskly after his wife’s demise. Increasingly paranoid, Stephen becomes anxious about the welfare of his younger brother Dom and tension builds between him and his dad.
