Th3rd World’s adaptation of Cassandra Clare’s New York Times best-selling novel, The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones. Set in modern day New York, the Mortal Instruments series centers on the “Shadowhunters,” human-angel hybrids that hunt down demons while also keeping peace between the warlocks, vampires, werewolves, faeries and other mythical creatures who inhabit the Earth.

Movie – retarded. Awful casting job. Horrid producers. Jace for example looks gag worthy in his gangster/Shadowhunter get-up. Clary – where’s the green eyes and red hair? Alec looks 30, thank you very much. Isabell… oh, Izzy… no, just no. Simon is just plain weird. Luke looks like a pervert. Jocelyn is terrible. Valentine is creepy as heck. Hodge is an odd one. Pangborn and Blackwell are the only ones I actually like and they die in the end. Well, I spoke my mind so, yeah. Thanks.

Oh get over it! Everyone. This is the Graphic Novel! Cassie chose Nik Virella to illustrate it precisely *because* she loved her drawing style and furthermore, she told Nik exactly how she wanted each character to look in the novel. I don’t understand how people cannot accept the fact that Jace is a fictional character and everyone has their own image of the way he’s “supposed to” look. Why can’t you view this GN for what it is: a beautiful companion to our favourite book series and a work of art that someone has poured hours and hours of hard work and their heart into?! You won’t buy/read it? Well that’s your loss.

You people with your AP make me sick! Nik Virella did an amazing job and if you don’t like it – don’t read it! Go buy a book of Pettyfer’s ugly pictures and stare at that instead. Cassie wouldn’t have hired Nik if she didn’t like her style plus Cassie had a big say in how she wanted Jace and the rest of characters to look, so if you’re insulting them you’re insulting Cassie’s vision as well.

Sorry, I hate to see only critisizem for a graphic novel, more so on a series I love so much. Unfortionatly I agree 100%. It just is nothing like I pictured, or like I imagen most people pictured.
I like that he looks older. It shows the difference between the way he and Clary were raised. A person can’t go through everything Jace has been though and not look older than his age. As for plaid, cute guys make plaid look great all the time. Actually, they make everything look great. LOL

It’s still an AMAZING story. Just because one person’s vision of Jace isn’t the same as yours does not give you a legitimate reason to just drop the idea of reading the graphic novels!

Thats a good point. But to some poeple like me, it matters just like it matter if the sun doesn’t come out. It’s how you picture things that make the book what it is, which (for the poeple who hate the books) is awsome. We all see things differently, just like we all learn differently. I hope for your sake though that you don’t want to stop reading it (like me) becuse of what jace looks like. I hope that only the story line is enough to look pass the inperfection and see the perfection.

He would be perfect as Jace, besides the fact he is turning thirty on August 11. Who cares though, cuz casting for him is already done. For me (and this is just my opinion) no one could ever be Jace because how i see Jace there could only be close looks alikes. But for the 30 year old thats meant to be Jace is not part of the group of “look alike Jace”. He’s just too old and not as good looking.
