Several members of the cast of THE MORTAL INSTRUMENTS: CITY OF BONES arrived early to Toronto to prep for filming, which begins on Monday.
Lily Collins (Clary), Jamie Campbell Bower (Jace), Jemima West (Isabelle), Kevin Zegers (Alec) and Aidan Turner (Luke) are all in Toronto working on stunt training.
Robert Sheehan (Simon) will arrive in Toronto on Sunday and Godfrey Gao (Magnus) will arrive in September.
Cassandra Clare shared some fight training details on Twitter following her dinner with some members of the cast and director Harald Zwart on Thursday:
-The cast currently in Toronto are those that have to do fight prep.
-Jamie, who took up Krav Maga–a martial art–in training for the role of Jace, will be doing a somersault in midair among other things as Jace.
-Jemima is very much looking forward to using a whip.
-Robert will be doing some stunt training for the scene with Abbadon.
Lily and Jamie were in Toronto a week prior already working on stunt training with On Set Stunts, the stunt production company on the film.
THE MORTAL INSTRUMENTS: CITY OF BONES hits theaters on August 23, 2013 in the U.S.

Surely Jonathan should be training with them too? He has the big climatic batltle scene with Luke and Jace at the end.
Jonathan is sadly not until the City of Glass.
i think she meant Jonathan as in the actor playing Valentine
LOL! I meant Jonathan as in Jonathan Rhys Meyers who plays Valentine. There is the big fight between Luke, Valentine, Jace and Clary at the end of City of Bones
i’m looking forward for the Abaddon and Hotel Dumont/Dumort action scenes. oh and yeah the battle between Luke and Valentine.
I’m looking forward to the scene outside of Madame Dorthea’s apartment with Abaddon, because of all of the action. It promises to be very exciting.
