TMI Set Day 11: Humility’s report from the CITY OF BONES set

Filming on the highly-anticipated adaptation of THE MORTAL INSTRUMENTS: CITY OF BONES continued on Tuesday in Toronto at Luke's Bookstore. One of our Toronto look-out, Humility (@humilityc) made the trip out to Luke's bookstore set. Check out the full report:

Hey TMI peeps!  Ok so I apologize if my report is not very long or as extravagant... This is due to the fact that I could not stay because of school... But here's what I can tell you! I got to the set around 2 and there were not any actors that I could find unfortunately considering how apparently they started filming around 5 and I could only stay till 4! Sad... I met up with other cool TMI fans @stolethenight @soapiie @michellemags @nics_herondale and a few more you know who you are ;)

While we were waiting in some cafe for the rain to die down we saw Jace’s stunt double walk passed us. I managed to take a few pictures of the props they had there. I could not take a picture of the actual bookstore front because they had 3 police officers standing outside the whole time and I had a feeling that if I managed to take a photo they’d tackle me and take my phone as evidence lol!  What I can say is that the area they filmed it in was exactly how I pictured it. They had fences near apartment and we believe that it could be Luke’s place (picture below). And we all know that in the book Jace and Clary jump over the fence to get to Luke’s then Simon is discovered hiding & creepishly watching Luke. Oh and the bookstore is right beside the apartment. The bookstore looks so cool from what I saw when I walked passed it and I saw some antiques. I can’t wait to see this all on screen!  

After getting a glimpse of the house & bookstore, we walked around and there were PLENTY of NYC taxis lining the street. We also so Luke’s green truck, some stationwagon, a motorcycle (fueled by demonic energy?? hmm..), and I even saw a school that was all burnt up inside and the windows were all gone. I don’t know if they’re using that bus for TMI but it said Raccoon High School on it and one of the gals told me it could’ve used been for the Resident Evil movie. COOL! We even saw a store on the block names Pandemonium, funny eh? This street was totally meant for the TMI movie set! Although, I did not stay long and did not say any of the cast we had enough company with the crew. As usual they were amazing and very kind to us even if we were being all stalkerish & walking the entire block like 3 times! But I wish I stayed longer because Aidan, Lily, and Jamie were spotted like an hour after I leave… How unlucky of me! Oh well, they’ll be here till November right?!?!?  So that’s it folks! Sorry I did not have any pictures with the GORGEOUS cast but there’s always next! Enjoy the pics and good luck to all those going back to school/uni (like moi *weeps*)
