Clare has plans for a total of five Shadowhunter Chronicles series–The Mortal Instruments and four trilogies (The Infernal Devices, The Dark Artifices, TLH and a current un-named trilogy).

That’s so much! I will probably read them all, but it kinda makes me feel weird, because by the time all the Shadowhunters books are published I’ll be a lot older! When Cassie finishes TDA in 2017, I’ll be 23. She probably won’t have time writing the other trilogy, TLH, during the writing of TDA, since she’s also writing that other series with Holly Black at the same time, so that one’s she’s going to write after TDA. Maybe she’ll write two series at the same time, with one book each year. So by the time she finished writing ALL the Shadowhunter chronicles, it’ll be 2023! I will be almost 30 by then! :O
These books cross age limitations. I’m 61 and LOVE all of the books. I hope to be reading them for many years.
Why would you feel weird? Im 36 and I love Cassies books. Heck, she’s my age and she writes them. In my opinion a good book is for all ages, period. 🙂
I think the weirdness comes from the fact that ppl like TheFirst and myself stated reading these books while we’re in our teens or young adult years. And it’s really SO HARD to imagine being older. I mean you say ‘thirty’ and I’m just like, ‘Ha, I’ll never be thirty.’ But I will, and these books will still be coming out then, and I will hopefully still be reading them, and it’s weird, you know?
I must be the same age as you.. and seriously that is crazy to think about. I started reading TMI when I was 15 and end when I am 30…holy crap/
I will never stop reading her books. Cassie Clare is my favorite author ever and the Shadowhunter World is the best fictional world ever. And Cassie`s characters and quotes and her writing style are flawless.

i cannot wait! as long assie publishes stuff shadowhunter or otherwise, I will read them! and it’s cool she’s doing a follow up and another prequel! maybe she’ll do a fifth one and it’ll best way in the future or prsent day but in another country.

OMG. Best news ever. I think Cassie might get a bit of hate for this and people will start saying she can only write shadowhubter novels but HELL, why wouldn’t she! Its clearly her area of interest, and none of her books so far are anything less than perfect. I feel like this third trilogy is too good to be true, so im not goimg to get my hopes up about reading it.
It makes me laugh that me, my mum and my friends have serious cases if cassandra clare withdrawel, and were like ‘this is it, its over!’ And then BAM. New book.
WE SHALL NEVER HAVE TIME TO HEAL. THE VERY LAST BOOK WILL KILL US ALL, WE WILL BE USED TO EXPECTING A NEW SERIES TO REPLACE IT, BUT THERE WILL BE NOTHING.

No! Why? TLH comes after TID and b4 TMI and Jace is a Herondale so no way it stands for The Last Herondale. In fact I wish the Herondale bloodline never ends!

The “the last” part is right, but it’s hours, not herondale.
So I’m not sure if TLH will be too similar in name to the others. The Lethal sounds good, but I tried putting Instruments, Devices and Artifices into thesaurus.com and nothing beginning with an H comes up. So unless she knows some words that the Internet doesn’t, then it might be something nicer, maybe, probably not.
I am so excited for these though, more Will (hopefully).

Whatever it stands for I can’t wait to read it. I love the shadow hunter world. I love all of Clares books they are well thought out and written. I am excited to know there is more to come. I guess I am considered a Mundie mom since I am 40. I have to say this books are a nice escape. All of you younger readers I am sure you will still enjoy reading her new books when they come out.
