Kevin Zegers talks filming, favorite scene in THE MORTAL INSTRUMENTS: CITY OF BONES
The lovely Kevin Zegers (Alec Lightwood) took some time Tuesday night on Twitter to answer some fan questions, including a bunch about THE MORTAL INSTRUMENTS: CITY OF BONES, which wraps filming in Toronto on Wednesday.
He discussed filming, working with the cast and crew, and his favorite scene in THE MORTAL INSTRUMENTS: CITY OF BONES.
On missing the cast and crew:

I don’t even remember Alec being in Hotel Dumort…. I need to re-read CoB soon…
he wasn’t it was only jace and clary, but I am going to keep an open mind

He’s not exactly verbose in his answers; although the questions answered do lend themselves to brief and simple answers. Personally, I am hoping for more detailed and interesting answers in future interviews and such. (inspired questions will facilitate that of course)
No, Alec wasn’t at the Hotel Dumort in the book. I definetly think he will be there in the movie based on Kevin’s answer. I don’t think Kevin would pick a scene he wasn’t in as his favourite, and I’m not even convinced he’d be there for filming if he wasn’t in the scene (if they could do it without him they would have filmed it before he got to Toronto).
And I think that’s great! The movie only has a limited amount of time to show us all these characters, so why not add him into a scene he could easily, logically fit? In fact, in CoB Alec offers to come help at the Dumort and (much to Alec’s annoyance) Jace tell’s him no, to go on ahead. I get the feeling Isabelle might also come into play at the Dumort (which might mean she isn’t as drunk when she leaves the party as she is in the book?)
It’d fun to speculate!

What does Alec Lightwood and Kevin Zegers have in common (besides Kevin playing Alec)? Their both totally H-O-T!
