‘Shadowhunters’ Won’t Be at San Diego Comic-Con 2016

With San Diego Comic-Con fast approaching, now is the time when news about which shows will and will not be attending the annual pop culture convention.

Shadowhunters will not be attending Comic-Con this year, according to SDCC Blog.

“We will not be bringing Shadowhunters to SD Comic Con this year as they will be in production up in Toronto at that time,” a representative of Freeform told SDCC Blog.

Shadowhunters’ second season is set to begin filming next month in Toronto, and SDCC runs July 21-25 in San Diego.

Freeform (formerly ABC Family) doesn’t typically have a presence at SDCC. The last show to make an appearance there was the short-lived Nine Lives of Chloe King in 2011.

Shadowhunters is more likely to appear at New York Comic-Con in October, where it appeared last year.

Are you disappointed that Shadowhunters won’t be at SDCC?
