Lily Collins gets her action star on in ‘Abduction’ trailer

Before she suits up to play heroine Clary Fray in “The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones,” Lily Collins can be seen in a different action movie role in the forthcoming Abduction.

MTV unveiled the first trailer for Abduction on Wednesday night.

Here’s a snippet from IMDB describing Abduction:

A thriller centered on a young man who sets out to uncover the truth about his life after finding his baby photo on a missing persons website.

Collins, co-starring with real life boyfriend and Twilight hunk Taylor Lautner, portrays Karen, who seems to be in the wrong place at the wrong time (or the right place at the right time depending on the way you look at it). She is dragged on the run with Lautner’s character Nathan (terrible fate, right?) as a secret organization tries to hunt him down.

Abduction has a Jason Bourne feel (a much younger one) and the mystery alone of what happened to Nathan and why this organization is after him is enough to drag me in.

Abduction hits theaters September 23, 2011.
