Lily Collins began filming on ‘The English Teacher’ last week

Filming for The English Teacher, which will star Julianne Moore, Lily Collins (Clary Fray) and Michael Arangano among others, began last week in Tarrytown, N.Y.

In the film Moore plays a high school teacher whose life takes a turn when one of her former students returns home as a failed playwright. After reconnecting with the student, Moore’s character decides to stage one of his plays at her school.

The English Teacher will continue filming in Tarrytown and Sleepy Hollow through November.

Filming on The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones is slated to begin filming in January, in Los Angeles and New York, as long as everything remains on schedule.

Marlene King is finishing up the rewrite of the script and is expected to turn it into the studio any day now.
