Jamie Campbell Bower: 5 Things About “Twilight’s” Italian Vampire

Jamie Campbell Bower is no stranger to popular Young Adult movie franchises. Having already appeared in Twilight and Harry Potter franchises, Bower is closing in on his first lead role in an up-and-coming Young Adult movie franchise in The Mortal Instruments.

Jamie Campbell Bower has been making a name for himself playing wizards and vampires for the past few years. Even though he hasn’t gained the notoriety of Rob Pattinson or Daniel Radcliffe, the young actor is building a major resume in Hollywood.

With roles in most of the hottest teen films in recent years and a beautiful fiance on his arm, the accomplished young actor is one of Hollywood’s biggest emerging stars. Here’s what we know so far about this rising star:

Vampire: The actor has played the role of the feisty Italian vampire, Caius, in “The Twilight Saga: New Moon” and both “The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn” films. His character is one of three leaders of the Volterra clan. He is particularly intent at ending the relationship of Bella and Edward through any means necessary.

Wizarding Past: In between the “Twilight” films, Jamie took a spin at the wizarding world. He played the role of Gellert Grindelwald, in “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 1”. His character met his fall from grace at the hands of Albus Dumbledore who defeated him in a dual thus costing him the Elder Wand.

Musician: When he’s not acting, Bower can be found performing with his band, The Darling Buds, for whom he is the lead singer.

Love Life: He may have been playing a villain in the film, but that didn’t stop the actor from winning the heart of his “Harry Potter” co-star Bonnie Wright. After falling in love while filming the movie, the couple announced their engagement in April 2011.

Shadowhunter: His reign as co-star in some of today’s biggest teen movies may be coming to an end. The actor is taking on his first lead role in the upcoming film version of the Cassandra Clare book series, “The Mortal Instruments”.
