‘Clockwork Princess’ to be released in 2013?

It’s no secret that following the release of Clockwork Prince, the second installment of The Infernal Devices trilogy, on Dec. 6 that fans are anxiously clamoring to find out how the series ends with Clockwork Princess.

It was previously thought that Clockwork Princess would be released in November 2012, as read the placeholder for the book (see picture), but according to Cassandra Clare it’s looking like fans will have to wait until some time in 2013 to read the conclusion to the bestselling trilogy.

When a fan asked Clare if the rumors surrounding Clockwork Princess‘s release was indeed 2013, Clare said, “Yes, most likely, but I don’t know when exactly.”

There is no official news on when Clockwork Princess will be released. Even if it turns out to be a 2013 release it might not be as bad as it sounds. It could be January 2013 for all we know. Clockwork Prince, after all, was released just less than a month ago, and if the publication pattern continues the next book should be released just over a year from the previous book’s publication.

We all want to get our hands on Clockwork Princess, that’s no secret. Yes, the wait will be agonizing. And yes, all of our theories will push us to the brink of insanity. But just like with Clockwork Prince, and Clare’s previous books before that, the wait is always worth it.
