No Set Release Dates for ‘Clockwork Princess,’ ‘City of Heavenly Fire’
Cassandra Clare's next book 'City of Lost Souls' will be released on May 8, 2012.
It’s a natural reaction when reading any book–especially a Cassandra Clare novel–to want to get your hands on the next installment as soon as humanly possible.
But it’s also an natural revelation that we have to wait about a year it.
Cassandra Clare assured fans that Simon & Schuster is working hard on getting out the final installments of The Infernal Devices (Clockwork Princess) and The Mortal Instruments (City of Heavenly Fire) in a timely manner but without compromising the quality of the book.
At the moment there is no set release date for either Clockwork Princess or City of Heavenly Fire. But it looks like Clockwork Princess will be released sometime between March-September 2013.

Clockwork Princess will not be out September 2013.
That is because we are still going around trying to figure out how to get the books out as fast as possible without compromising their quality. Books take time to write. My books are really long. The Clockwork books require a ton of research. There was a year and four month gap between Angel and Prince, so assuming that same gap again would still put the book at March 2013.
It’ll probably be somewhere between the two — March and September — but I don’t know when yet. I know it’s confusing with different dates on different parts of different sites, but my FAQ is the most reliably updated place.
The wait can be unbearable at times, but we will get these books.
In the meantime, let’s turn our attention to City of Lost Souls, which will be released in 84 days!

wait. Clockwork Princess is the final book for The Infernal Devices??
would like to know is the infernal devices book three the clockwork princess the last or will there be another if so try and not leave it so long apart but for great quality as your i guess its worth the wait
I loved all the books and am dying for the next, but our the next ones the last? I don’t want her to finish the books. Most sequals drag on and become quite boring, but her books are always intriguing and i can’t put them down. Hopefully the Dark Artifices will be just as good. Can’t wait!
