Cassandra Clare’s international bestselling series ‘The Mortal Instruments’ has spent one year on the New York Times Bestsellers List.
Clare took to Tumblr on Friday to thank her fans for their continued support.
Thank you guys so much! A year on the bestseller list is a big deal and it’s all down to you.
Congrats to Cassie for the success and let’s keep it going for a second consecutive year!

Cassie’s TMI and TID books are completely captivating. Every time i read one of her books, I feel at home in their world…and it’s like everything around me feels right. I totally agree when Stephenie Meyer said, “The Mortal Instruments Series is a story world that i love to live in.” I love how she molds her books’ characters, making it feel like they’re really real. When reading the lines of the characters of her books, it feels like they really do exist…and i wish that they DO exist. I told this to my friend Ally and she told me, “Well they’ll always exist in our hearts!”
And by the way, I’d like to say that, though the TMI and TID books are equally amazing and wonderful, the love triangle in TID series is more intriguing. And I like the love better there since it’s deeper and more challenging and conflicting. Plus, the TID series is very unpredictable, which makes it even more exciting! I continuously wonder who would Tessa end up with. Will or Jem? It nags at me all the time….and I also wonder how Clockwork Princess would end, knowing that TMI still continues it.
Anyway, keep up the good –no, GREAT– work, Cassie! I love and am so engrossed with your books. I can’t even wait for The Dark Artifices…and just like what my friend Ally says, I like how the books are so connected! TMI and TID books are really unique books which take hold of the readers’ hearts and souls! ❤ ❤ ❤
