TMI Set Day 18: Michelle’s report from the CITY OF BONES set
Hello Shadowhunters! Welcome back to Casa Loma or also known as, the Institute (for a few rooms). I arrived set around 3 and met up with Rebecca and noticed that Becky had join us for today! Since filming does not officially start until 4, we spent the hour inside Casa Loma. We head to the inside of Casa Loma and paid entrance fees. We toured around the inside of Casa Loma and noted all the parts blocked off by movie equipments.
Rebecca, Becky and I enter a room with the windows with green screen from the outside. We turned our attention to the bed and the sign says, “this room is being currently prepared for a movie shoot” and immediately assumed that this room is Izzy’s with all the make up on the side table and such. I took pictures, yes, however, I will not post them. For plenty of reasons… one: being I don’t want to spoil it for you guys, two: it might not be Izzy’s, three: I don’t want revealing inner set photographs and be banded from set. Thanks for understanding!
After visiting Izzy’s bedroom we roamed around the castle and eventually came out of Casa Loma and immediately sat by our usual spot when the sun is up too high. Little by little, Nicole, Danila and Melanie arrive and we then decide to move forward to our last night’s spot. Around 6 pm, Kevin walks out the doors and we say hello and he smiles and waves.Followed by Jamie and Lily on the side doors and all hop on the van and drive away heading to the trailers. Then the crew come out of the doors and we immediately know that it’s their lunch time. Last one to come out is Harald, the director and we whispered loudly to each other that someone should really ask for his autograph! Rebecca then turned and said, “Harald, may we have your autograph?” he picks up a fruit and chews “sure”
We all scramble to our feet. I go through my bag and have a mini-heart attack. I couldn’t find my copy of CoB but I knew I couldn’t afford to lose this moment so I pulled out my notebook and asked him to sign there instead. When he was gone, I checked my other bag for my blanket and noticed that my copy of CoB was in this bag!
From here on we would just see Kevin, Robert, Jamie and Lily in a few brief moments as they come in and out of set. It was 9 p.m. and we were all just tired of watching them hurry back to set so we just chatted amongst ourselves. Karen passes by, we speak for a brief moment and she hurried back to work and Hartley walked to us with a bucket of sweets and offered us some. He then told us he had to get back to work and told us goodbye and we say “thank you!”. He’s like our daddy on the TMI crew while Karen’s our mommy. OTP calling? (kidding) — oh and maybe Andrew could be our big old brother.
Since the entire cast was inside and for sure won’t be coming out anytime soon we fish for hints as to where tomorrow might be. Let’s just summarize it to getting really vague clues, but still helpful ones. It drove us until 3 am, talking on Skype and thinking where the heck should we start. Eventually we’ve agreed upon meeting at King Subway for #TMISetDay19
Around 10:30 or quarter to 11:00 we all head home and tell everyone goodnight. Well that’s a wrap for set day 18! Even though watching the actors just walk by, I didn’t mind. We still got to see the cast and that Becca, Becky and I were fortunate enough to tour around the castle before they closed the museum for filming!
Stay tuned for TMI Set Day 19. I think it tops my favorite set visits list!

Extras
We made posters while spending the day on Casa Loma grounds.
I hope they won’t mind me posting THIS picture. It’s just a really small corner of “Izzy’s Room” — or someone’s room! I found the bouquet really beautiful! Don’t you?
Harald, our Director. Some extra photos!

I adore the posters!
So glad you had fun! Just one thing… Did you guys spell Jamie’s name wrong in the first poster or is that just my eyes?
Oh WOW! Whoops my bad! Crap.
Yeah…I didn’t want to say anything becasue it was a nice idea in theory but I noticed that about the spelling too…maybe it was too small for the cast and crew to notice…I hope 😦
