More Shadowhunter tarot cards by Cassandra Jean

Good news, Shadowhunters!

The artist Cassandra Jean will create more than the originally intended 22 SHADOWHUNTER CHRONICLES inspired tarot cards.

Here is what Cassandra Jean had to say:

Cassandra Clare is the one deciding who goes on what card, after all  she knows these characters better than anyone, so she know what card suits what character. So y’all can keep telling me who you think should go where, or what character you want me to draw, but it might not turn out that way. Though, I’ll say this, there are 78 cards in a tarot deck (and this set even has one extra card) so chances are there are not many characters that will be left out. And some people get multiple cards. I’m about half way through so I even if I haven’t drawn a character yet, doesn’t mean they won’t be in the deck.

The first character who makes a second appearance is Jem Carstairs from THE INFERNAL DEVICES. Cassandra Clare posted the following picture on her tumblr:

Clare also added:

JEM MY BABY.

I love Cassandra Jean’s art because she’s so good at capturing character. More in her Shadowhunter Tarot, the six of sword (blades) can mean a long journey, so here is Jem on the way from Shanghai to England.

Are you excited to see more tarot cards and what do you think of little Jem? Sound off in the comments!
