WonderCon Video: Lily Collins and Jamie Campbell Bower discuss differences between MORTAL INSTRUMENTS and Twilight
The first interview video from WonderCon has surfaced.
Lily Collins (Clary) and Jamie Campbell Bower (Jace) talked about all things Mortal Instruments, including why it is not Twilight.
“It’s impossible to compare something to what was first known as the first franchise to really hit big and that’s Twilight,” Lily said. “It was its own entity into itself. I think it’s OK to hope to have a fanbase like that, but when it comes to comparing and contrasting–it’s so different. This is a world where there’s angels and demon. It’s a totally different alternate universe than any other film that I’ve seen.”
“Girl’s mother gets kidnapped, meets a boy, helps find mother, fall in love then find out they’re brother and sister,” Jamie summed up City of Bones. “

Um Lily, Twilight was not the first book to become a successful franchise in recent years…that would be Harry Potter.
