Fans first caught a glimpse of the newest still from The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones still in Entertainment Weekly’s Summer Preview issue, which featured Mortal Instruments as one of the summer’s most anticipated films.
Now we have the still–which features Isabelle (Jemima West) with her seraph blades, Simon (Robert Sheehan) and Clary (Lily Collins)–in high quality, thanks to @MortalMovie.

The seraph blades are longer than I had imagined…
Ya… i thought they would be smaller too… it just seemed that way because it always feels like the enemy gets so close that they wouldn’t need anything that long, it seems more similar to hand to hand combat
i love it and i did think of smaller seraph blades, but they’re still awesome!
I love everything about this pic-especially Izzy!
As for the Seraph blades I’m sure there are all kinds of shapes and sizes of cool and freaking awesome Shadowhunter weaponry and we still haven’t seen almost anything yet, so let’s just be possitive…
Also, small knives wouldn’t be as visually compelling and that’s the thing about reading about them and actually watch them down on business-protecting mundanes and fellow shadowhunters by slaying some nasty demons! 😉

I really wasn’t sure of her a Izzy at all and got to be honest I was a little worried but after seeing the trailer she has totally changed my mind. The part where she bumps into Eric’s shoulder- totally badass and totally Izzy. I am really looking forward to seeing her in action.
