Cassandra Clare shared another snippet from City of Heavenly Fire, the final installment of the international bestselling The Mortal Instruments, out in Spring 2014.
The snippet features Clary and Sebastian/Jonathan and will surely have fans theorizing.
His eyes shone when he looked at her, green as spring grass.
He has always had green eyes, said the voice in her head. People often marvel at how much alike you are, he and your mother and yourself. His name is Jonathan and he is your brother; he has always protected you.
Somewhere in the back of Clary’s mind she saw black eyes and whip marks, but she didn’t know why. He’s your brother. He’s your brother, and he’s always taken care of you.

All in all Sebastion wouldn’t try to use clary unless he had a reason. He must need her for something. He doesn’t play games. He could get a little joy out of his evil plot but is smart to know when to stop playing games. Remember in CoG he told their father that he liked getting inside her head. Liked being able to trick her. Well look at him succeeding.
Is Meliorn is talking to Clary about her brother because he’s only one to have green eyes.

Nonononononono people. What this means is that Jonathan (or Sebastian or whatever you call him) turns good again. Probably because the whole demon is gone out of him. Instead of black he now has green eyes just like Clary.

I think the snippet is about Clary and Jonathan/sebastian and I think he’s used the demon cup on her like he did with Amatis that would explain why she doesn’t remember the bad and also he tried to use it on her the last time they were together so makes sense 😦
And then maybe (for an ending) Jace and Simon could save her!
And also if she was her self she wouldnt be questioning where the image of “black eyes and whip marks” came from so it must be brainwashing (I really hope not though)

I think either he did something to control her mind and brainwash her into thinking that, or maybe she is talking to someone else who is brainwashing her or showing her images in her mind, I don’t know.
Maybe the REAL Jonathan was in her head or something and Clary found a way to get all the demon out of him so he can become himself again….. (IF THAT MAKES ANY SENSE)
