Shadowhunters who happened to be watching The Fosters got a special treat during one of the show’s commercial breaks on Monday, June 24.
The full theatrical trailer for The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones, complete with new release date and “The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones. In theaters Aug. 21″ voiceover, appeared on ABC Family during The Fosters.

We were screaming like loons telling the family to shush during the trailer! Absolutely hysterical considering we have seen it online about 50 times lol!!
i didn’t see it but i’m glad its getting airplay!

BY THE ANGEL that is like my new fav show I was planning on watching it but I got distracted!!!! But I’m glad they r showing it on tv now
To be very honest like many of u ill admit that I had been very nervous and concern on the lack of promotion and attention that mortal instruments has been getting and hearing all the ignorant opinions from a bunch of arrogant pompous skeptics and so called film experts who think they know everything that’s going on but they don’t but once I kept going back to the websites and hear updates on where promotion and marketing will start from the clothes to cast appearances it made me feel a little more confident including right now. It’s still a small thing but its a good start. Either way u think it is time that the rest of the world knows what the mortal instruments are and give it a chance.
