LISTEN: CITY OF LOST SOULS-inspired song ‘How It Ends’ by Beth Crowley
Beth Crowley wowed the Shadowhunter fandom with her Mortal Instruments-inspired song “Warrior” and her Infernal Devices-inspired song “Skin and Bones.” And now she’s done it again with a City of Lost Souls-inspired song called “How It Ends.”

Lyrics:
there’s a darkness that plays behind your wicked smile
an aching sadness as you cradle me like I’m a child
this is madness
we’re descending into madness
and it chills me to the bone
even when you’re gone I’m not alone
I’m never alone
I’m searching, desperate for a fracture in your shell
with every passing day it gets harder to tell
where the demon stops and where you begin
but I promise you this isn’t how it ends
I am frightened as we tumble down the rabbit hole
my grip tightens, I’m clinging to your missing soul
you can fight them
together we can fight them
Tell me you’re not too far gone
that I’m not a fool for holding on
I have to hold on
I’m searching, desperate for a fracture in your shell
with every passing day it gets harder to tell
where the demon stops and where you begin
but I promise you this isn’t how it ends
Deep within your twisted truth
you made yourself a home
but it’s a place where I can’t follow you
don’t leave me on my own
I can’t do this on my own
I’m searching, desperate for a fracture in your shell
with every passing day it gets harder to tell
where the demon stops and where you begin
but I promise you this isn’t how it ends

Beth has done an amzing job once again!! 🙂
I also wrote a few songs inspired tmi 🙂
By the Angel this song is so good! Its songs like theese that makes me cry.
❤
I write lyrics–and several tmi-inspired songs–but I’m not talented enough to compose anything, unfortunately:/
No Beth I bet your really awesome you should totally share the songs if you want! We’d all love to hear them! 🙂 do you play an instrument? If not collab, do acappella, maybe just play around with clips on garage band or mixcraft or what ever program you can reach too! 🙂
Thanks rawr:)
No problem Beth! do you have youtube?
No I do not:/ but it doesn’t seem like it would be too hard to set up an account.
Seriously talented. Not only a writer and composer but a vocalist. You are amazing!
Beth is such an incredible talent!! Her songs never cease to give me chills and match perfectly with the books. Wish we could get something in one of the movies! “Warrior” is still my favorite though, but probably only because I’ve been wailing (my version of singing) to it every day in the car. 🙂
Ditto @Krystal 😀
