‘City of Ashes’ Write-In Campaign
Shadowhunters! We’ve teamed up with Mortal Instruments fan sites around the world to show support for City of Ashes with a City of Ashes Write-In Campaign. And we need your help!
What is a Write-In Campaign? That means no emails — just good, old-fashioned letters and postcards — that we’ll send to Constantin Film, Sony Pictures, eOne films and other distributors.
Here is where you come in. We need you to write a letter or send a postcard saying something along the lines of WE WANT CITY OF ASHES or PLEASE MAKE CITY OF ASHES and send it to your distributor (addresses are listed below). If you can’t send your letter, you can email your message to us (mortalinstrumentssource@gmail.com) along with your distributor, and we will send it for you!

I’ve already sent out a letter a week and a half ago via email, I think I’m going to do another one again just in case and put in some more.
I thought it was already going ahead and just got pushed back?

Technically they said that, yes. But let’s be honest here, the box office was certainly not good enough to warrant a sequel and most other companies would certainly not fund a sequel. This can maybe help show fan commitment. So, we shall see I suppose.

I am really happy you are moms are getting involved like this. I think they should market this film to everyone not just teens. What are the chances it comes back? (Hoping for sequel). I just started reading 2nd book. I still need to read book 1 to understand it all. :). I think Devergent looks so much like hunger games,but I feel City Of Bones has a real shot. There is nothing like it. I also would love more detail in the movie and more storyline on the characters.

i want to sent a letter so hard. but im in Turkey. how can i do? 😦
Its a good idea but haven’t they said its only postphoned? (and don’t get me wrong I still back wherever I can) but also wouldn’t it be better if we inundated the studio making the movie. Sending it to the distributors isn’t going to have as much of an impact unless we can guarantee they will forward it all on. Might be an idea to write what scenes that NEED to be included. If the movie script was so far away from the book. But people would have to remember that everything, probably not even all major scenes can be included. If enough people write the same scenes, I would have thought they would take it into consideration 🙂
I think I’ll do it. I’ll go to Germany in a few weeks, and I’ll send it from Germany to save postage (Danish postage is so expensive)

I have written my letters to both Constantin and Screen Gems. I know it will them know, that all the fans of City of Ashes, want this movie made. I know it’s just delayed, but this will help the Film people, know how this movie is loved. And it will keep City of Ashes in the forefront of their minds. So everyone write in lots!!!!!

Yeah true Jasmine haha Like someone mentioned above maybe we should just send to the actual studio overseas and reference Australia and screw the Aussie distributor.
