Read: First official synopsis for ‘The Last King of Faerie’
First 'The Wicked Powers' book to be published on 3 November!
Good morning, afternoon or evening everyone!
It is the year of the King and I am so happy to share some The Wicked Powers news with you! Thanks to Cassandra Clare’s publisher, we do have a first synopsis for the long-awaited The Last King of Faerie.
Ready?
It’s Drusilla Blackthorn’s third year at Shadowhunter Academy when a chance encounter at a nightclub turns into a kidnapping. Dru finds herself held prisoner by Prince Ash Morgenstern in the land of Faerie, a place that proves just as dangerous as it is beautiful. Despite herself, Dru is drawn to Ash and the darkness that seems to surround him—but one false move could cost her life.
Meanwhile, a shocking disappearance rocks the foundations of the Shadowhunter world. Kit Herondale and Ty Blackthorn must set aside the bitterness that lingers between them and join forces on a perilous quest to save everything they cherish.
I am excited to read about Dru and Ash in Faerie, and of course I cannot wait for Kit and Ty to be reunited! 🙂
That’s not all the information, though! The product details revealed that the book is going to be published on the 3rd of November and it does have 560 pages. You can click this link to pre-order your book from different websites. Preorders are so important for authors and since this is Cassie’s final series, let’s all make sure that she is going to hit #1 for each book. 😉
While we are now all waiting for the book, there is of course still a lot to look forward to: the cover, for example, but also a lot of snippets (I hope).
Cassie shared some information in her January newsletter:
The Last King of Faerie is off to be laid out by the graphic design department. In the meantime, I’ve been watching as they’ve developed the gorgeous packaging for the book. The cover is finished, and we’re looking now at endpapers, sprayed edges, and all that fun stuff. It’s going to be maybe the prettiest book I’ve ever had from a mainstream publisher. I’ll share a tiny peek.
The green leaves are definitely giving me Faerie vibes!
And there’s a also a new snippet:
“He’s a mundane. Our love is doomed anyway,” said Dru.
“I never said anything about love,” Thais pointed out, just as Dru noticed Jace, Clary, Magnus, Alec, and Izzy weaving through the crowd toward them. Eyes followed them as they made their way across the room—Downworlders looking curious, though not worried as they might have been before Alec had become Consul, when things between Shadowhunters and Downworlders had been much more tense. And mundanes seeming to sense something unusual was happening, even if they couldn’t see it.
They reached Thais and Dru.
It is always great to see the MI gang. 😀
The cover reveal for The Last King of Faerie cannot come soon enough! Fingers crossed we will not have to wait that long before Cassie shares it with her readers. Who do you think will be on the cover and what do you think of the first synopsis? Sound off in the comments!
While you wait, check out this post with previously released snippets.
