New Magnus Bane Contender in Simon Raymond?

With filming on ‘The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones’ set to begin in just about three months, casting is in full swing and plentiful movie news is surely on the horizon.

What has emerged as hot conversation surrounding the film is the role of Magnus Bane.

Shannon Kook, of Degrassi fame, has confirmed in the past couple of weeks that he has auditioned for the role and has quickly emerged as a fan-favorite.

But it looks like Shannon has some competition.

Raymond has had roles in several television shows, including Fringe and Call Me Fitz, but is a relatively unknown talent at this time.
