Cover Reveal: THE SHADOWHUNTER’S CODEX

Hollywood Crush revealed the cover of the highly-anticipated The Shadowhunter’s Codex, which will be released October 29.

Here’s the blurb from Hollywood Crush:

Fans will surely recognize the winged figure as Raziel (creator of the Shadowhunter race), pictured here with the infamous mortal instruments. The Codex, referenced in both “The Mortal Instruments” and “The Internal Devices” is the official guidebook to the world of Shadowhunters. Through Clary’s copy, readers will become privy to the warriors’ history, demon taxonomy, rune catalog and training manual, among many other tidbits. Clary’s drawings and notes are also included!

The Raziel on the cover is how I imagined Valentine Morgenstern to look like – almost exactly, to be honest… It’s so strange…. O_o…

I like it, but i wished it looked more rustic? Like it was an actual old book.

I agree. I liked the blue cover with the side clasp that they have been showing up til now. If I had my choice I would buy that one. It looks more what I would picture the cover of a real book of that nature to be.

  Yes I totally agree with you! I can’t imagine that the Shadowhunter Codex that Tessa read in the book would look like this. It feels too modern and not really authentic 😛 ohh well…

On her site it says it is supposed to look more modern because it’s the 27th edition of the Codex.

I was just wondering, why does it say ‘All the stories are true’ at the top? Isn’t this supposed to be a book about shadowhunter’s for shadowhunter’s so why does it says ‘All the stories are true’ if they’re shadowhunter’s it’s their life the know the stories are true?
