My Flash Trash has won licensing rights from Sony Pictures Consumer Products to create a line of jewelry based on The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones.
The 50-piece collection will be sold across the UK, Europe, Japan and the Middle East with RRPs from £6.99 in the UK.
Here are the details from Professional Jeweller:
My Flash Trash has won the rights to create and wholesale a collection of jewellery based on the film version of the teenage sci-fi and fantasy novel The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones.
The license has been drawn up with Sony ahead of the film’s launch in August. According to My Flash Trash, The Mortal Instruments movie has been billed “the next big young adult literary-based film”. The film is based on the first of six novels written by Cassandra Clare.
My Flash Trash Ltd owner, Amber Atherton, said: “We’ve been working on designs for the past five months. The movie is the perfect tie in for our customer base, and we’re thrilled to be able to work closely with Sony on this range.
“It’s not typical boring merchandise as the jewellery has a high fashion element with on trend points of design such as glow in the dark, tribal hoops, dagger rings, snake cuffs as well as collectable charms.”
This is just one of the many merchandising options coming from Sony Pictures Consumer Products.
