Merchandise: First look at ‘MORTAL INSTRUMENTS: CITY OF BONES’ posters

Fans eagerly awaiting the August release of The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones know there is a ton of merchandise on the way, including posters.

Here is your first look at three posters coming to a U.S./Canada retailer near you from the folks at Trends International.

The three posters in the pre-pack include two with the principal cast of characters and the other poster features the City of Bones book cover, which we shared with you last week.

The poster on the left features (from left to right), Simon (Robert Sheehan), Clary (Lily Collins) and Jace (Jamie Campbell Bower) in front of what looks to be the portal seen in the trailers. Underneath the title of the film is displayed. This art is also depicted on the front of Running Press’ mega mini kits (out July 30).

The poster on the right features our principal characters (from left to right)–Isabelle (Jemima West), Simon (Robert Sheehan), Clary (Lily Collins), Jace (Jamie Campbell Bower) and Alec (Kevin Zegers)–with an Angelic Power rune behind them. The tagline “A World Hidden Within Our Own” appears above them. This is the poster pictured on the box holding the posters. Fans will recognize this image from an advertisement in The Bookseller.

No word yet on when these posters can be expected in stores and online or how much they’ll go for. Posters usually range from $4 to $8.
