‘THE MORTAL INSTRUMENTS: CITY OF ASHES’ set for worldwide distribution in 2014
The year 2014 is going to be a busy one for Shadowhunters.
Not only is City of Heavenly Fire set to be released in the spring, but The Mortal Instruments: City of Ashes is set to be distributed worldwide next year.
Executive producer Martin Moszkowicz shared the news on Twitter:

Mister Smith Entertainment came to Cannes Film Festival looking to shop numerous titles, including The Mortal Instruments: City of Ashes, the sequel to this summer’s highly-anticipated The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones (out Aug. 21). And they locked up deals.
Moszkowicz told Varietyon Tuesday that distributors of City of Bones were interested in City of Ashes, so expect some of the same distributors to release City of Ashes.
“Everybody who has the first movie wants the second movie. We’re dealing with the details,” producer Moszkowicz said.
Mister Smith recently screened a rough cut of The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones for distributors in a private event at Cannes, according to Variety.
Prior to the start of Cannes a couple of weeks ago, Constantin Film announced that they were moving forward with City of Ashes. Harald Zwart, who directed City of Bones, will return for City of Ashes, which begins production in the fall.

They are scheduled to begin production in the fall. It means that distributors for countries around the world have locked up the rights to show the film in their country.

Where will casting call auditions be held? I have been trying to the role of Maia Roberts ever since I heard City of Bones was going to be a movie. I’ve wanted to act since I was a kid, and to be part of the movie cast of my favorite book series would be more than blessing. ARE YOU KIDDING? FIRST MOVIE ISNT’ OUT YET. In October 16th it will be released everywhere(poor people of October 😦 ) and we’re talking about a CoA movie. Ohhhh I THINK THEY’RE GONNA DRIVE US CRAZY.
