Cassandra Clare shares new CITY OF HEAVENLY FIRE snippet
Today Cassandra Clare shared a short snippet from City of Heavenly Fire, the last installment in her The Motal Instruments series which is set to be released in spring 2014.
“Okayyyyy,” Isabelle said in a low voice, “When did Brother Zachariah get hot?”

That is hilarious! It’s probably that they saw Brother Zachariah as how he really looks for the first time. This book will be hilarious, heart-wrenching, and a fantastic book in general!
Jem and Tessa come back to help I assume, or they all go to London and meet them there.
Ummm…. I don’t want to seem like a b**** over here, but I don’t want Tessa to be with Jem. She belongs with Will even if he is dead. I wish I didn’t read the epilogue in Clockwork Princess… totally made me depressed. I love Will and it’s soooo sad that he’s dead. Dead for a while now.
It’s not wrong to dislike the ship Jem/Tessa, but just remember that a lot of fans were hoping they would be together, I know i did. Tessa loved them both and she gets to be with both, so I’m really happy she ends up with him.
I am totally with I was so upset when I read the epilogue.
YES! YES! YES! YES! We will get to hear more about Jem! and Tessa! because he wouldn’t go anywhere without Tessa!!!!

No it doesn’t it fits perfectly well. Because in the epilogue of CP Tessa says she saw Magnus in Alicante a few months ago. She’s talking about City of Glass where Clary sees them talk in the epilogue. So their Meeting could be before CoHF. I don’t really know how much time passed between CoG and CoHF…
Soooooo Jem is free from of his alliance with the Brotherhood before the end of the book? Ooooh 😀
yea means that jem’s turning back at the end of the book and that assuming Izzy’s gonna stay alive, this conversation will take place near the end after the shadowhunters find out about brother Zachariah.
Why at the end of the book… could be that Gem is back, looking like his Shadowhunter self right from the beginning. I hope so anyway.

Jem’s meeting with Tessa takes place in the beginning of the year 2008 the year following TMI’s COHF’s events. Also COHF takes place near the end of the year 2007 or midway through winter or fall… it’s only going to be reasonable for Jem to turn back into Jem during, say the last battle against Sebby boy, takes his time to recover from the change in his being, fix his situation with the silent brothers, then join Tessa as soon as he can which will be in winter (or was it spring?) 2008. I’m saying Jem HAS to turn at the end of the book or near the end anyway…

HOLY CRAP!! I KNEW JEM WAS GOING TO BE IN THE BOOK IM GOING TO D-I-E OF CHARACTER HOTNESS!! But…. On the downside I’m pretty sure this book is going to make me sad. OH AND TESSA(if she’s in the book)MIGHT GET ALL JEALOSE AND…… I don’t know where I was going with that.
I don’t think Tessa will be in CoHF. If she was, she wouldn’t have *SPOILER* been shocked to see Jem in the CP2 epilogue.

Yay!! I’m so happy that Cassie is writing Tessa and Jem into the book!! Jem is my absolute favourite character from the series 😀 Ah how are we supposed to wait until 2014?!

I would love to see Will appear in CoHF, but that’s highly unlikely (although I have thought of solutions), so the next best thing is JEM !!!! OMG SO FREAKING EXCITED !!! we get to see Jessa !!! Uh oh , here come the feeeeeeels </3 SO. MUCH. SUSPENSE.
Like in a flashback? When Jem becomes himself again he’ll definitely miss his parabatai and his shadowhunting life, plus howMAJORLY AWESOME would be CC if she gave as a little more Will? 🙂

Magnus must have given brother Zachiarh the cure to his illness,because he was the one in clockwork princess who’d was trying to come up with the cure. Then he takes the cure and becomes his normal self again. That’s how I put it.

According to the end of clckwork princess, isn’t it jace and clary etc that discover how jem can live without his drug – hopefully that is what the book will be about!
The book will be about many things but the main plotline is trying to stop Sebastian’s hatred and the biggest war ever fought apocalypse like. Expect Archangels and Greater Demons in the mix – that’s what I’m hoping for.
Supernatural seasons 4, 5, gr8and definitely 9 anyone? 😉
So much FEELS! I can’t wait for this book! Come on 2014 come faster. In CP2 epilogue, Jem tells Tessa about the new generation of Lightwoods, a Fairchild, and a Herondale.

I don’t know why everyone’s keep expecting Tessa to be in CoHF. I’d love it too, but what I’m most expecting is seeing both Tessa and Jem on TDA actively, not just in cameos (like in CoG) or in the sidelines.
And judging by CP2 epilogue, she seems pretty much clueless or conspicuously silent about what transends in CoHF,maybe it’s a trick by CC to surprise us?

I’m quite sure tessa does not figure in CoHF as in the epilogue of CP2 when she meets jem she is quite surprised about him being normal
again and when she asked about him he says that it’s just another story of ‘lightwoods, herondales and fairchilds’ which implies that tessa has no idea about the events of CoHF…
