Lily Collins is busy making the rounds in the U.K. for her film Stuck in Love, which hits UK theaters June 14 and U.S. theaters July 5, and reporters can’t resist asking the young actress about her role in the highly-anticipated The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones, out Aug. 21.
Lily spoke to MTV U.K. about how Mortal Instruments fans have shown their love and support on the set of her latest movie, Love, Rosie.
It’s funny, fans are already–I’m shooting in Dublin right now–and some fans have been coming to the set with books to sign. And it’s lovely that the support is there and I know the expectation is so high when it’s a book with many fans like this, but I think we’ve done a really good job of making it fresh and new yet staying true to the book and making it really real. I’m excited for it to come out.
Lily also mentioned that they’ve already begun work on the sequel, The Mortal Instruments: City of Ashes, which begins production in the fall with director Harald Zwart returning.
We’re already starting to work on the sequel and, yeah, I’m really proud of it. So whatever happens happens, but I’m really excited.
The Mortal instruments: City of Ashes is slated for a 2014 worldwide release.
