‘THE MORTAL INSTRUMENTS: CITY OF BONES’ coming to IMAX theaters on August 21
Sony Pictures and eOne films officially announced today that The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones will be hitting IMAX theaters across North America on August 21.
Fans were previously notified of the news following an updated theatrical trailer that hit the web noting the IMAX release.

LOS ANGELES, July 10, 2013 /PRNewswire via COMTEX/ — IMAX Corporation, Sony Pictures, a division of Sony Corp., and eOne today announced that the adaption of part-one of Cassandra Clare’s bestselling fantasy-adventure novel series The Mortal Instruments will be digitally re-mastered into the immersive IMAX format and released into IMAX theatres across North America on August 21.

It depends… I’ve seen Jack the Giant Slayer in IMAX and it wasn’t worth it. I intend to see it many times though, so I’ll probably watch it in a regular theatre first and if I hear it’s worth paying for IMAX I’ll do it 🙂 Do you know if it’ll also be released in digital 3D or only IMAX?
Will it just be shown in IMAX in North America? Or will it be released in IMAX worldwide? I would love to watch it in IMAX!!
One time I went to see IMAX in a theater
and it was the SAME thing as the original regular one.
So it was a very deserving $3 ripoff
