Watch: Kevin Zegers and Godfrey Gao tease more Malec in ‘CITY OF ASHES’
In a recent interview at the Mexico press junket for The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones, Kevin Zegers and Godfrey Gao talked about their characters in The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones, as well as teased more Malec in The Mortal Instruments: City of Ashes, which begins filming in the fall. Malec talk starts around the 2:50 mark.
“We don’t know,” said Kevin Zegers. “They’re still writing the script right now, but I would say yes. I’ve read a rough draft and there’s definitely a lot of stuff with the two of us. There’s also a lot of action, but there’s definitely more ‘Malec’ in the second film.”

Yes! More Malec! I know in the first book there wasn’t a lot, but I was hoping there would be more in the movies. I was predicting that in the movie there would be ‘Kissed’ Magnus and Alec’s first kiss written by Cassie but I guess not…
I really love how close Kevin & Jamie are. it’s awesome! You can hear it in Kevin’s description of their relationship.
PS. And I simply CANNOT wait for more Malec scenes!

I really hope they do film Alec and Magnus’s kiss scene.
And also when Alec almost reveals to his parents, Maryse and Robert about his relationship with Magnus.

OMG I am dying! I can’t wait for more Malec! I really hope they add those scene’s liked kissed and their secret dates and things like that to City of Ashes. I would love to watch their relationship evolve! 🙂

I hate to say it but Godfray makes a terrible Magnus. His voice is so… not Magnus. I really didn’t like him in the film. I think Malec scenes will be awkward. Poor Kevin and Godfray xD
I’m looking forward to more Sizzy though. 🙂 and of course Clace and then Malec. AH so happy they’ll turn all the books into movie adaptations!
They dubbed his voice. That pissed me off XD
They dubbed it with his own voice to make him sound more neutral, which considering Magnus tries to avoid sounding like his birth culture… it makes sense.
It does, but I wish they didn’t…Godfrey doesn’t have a major MAJOR accent, and Magnus IS described as having an accent, so if they didn’t dub it it would sound more…realistic, I guess XD

I love how Kevin explains that him and Jamie are really close and have a good relationship. Its a coincidence that Jamie and Kevin are really close because there characters they play “Jace and Alec” have just as close if not closer relationship because they are “parabatai”
You can really see it in Kevin’s eyes that he means what he says on Jamie. And, OHHOLYGOD! MORE MALEC. FINALLY!

YAY! love Malec! I really hope that Cassie brings them back together! Does anyone else think that they dubbed Godfrey’s voice badly in the movie? I remember seeing a video in September of last year and it had a little sneak peek of Magnus’ party, and his acting was great and his voice sounded like his own… so they dubbed it badly.
