Great that it’s so soon, I was expecting to wait much longer – the German version of Amazon promised the release in February. Very excited about the deleted scenes and interviews with the cast. But I don’t like the cover: first the picture of Jace is kind of weird and much worse than on the movie posters and second the quote they chose is something that tries to compare TMI to another YA franchise which was the problem with the most critics of this movie. Couldn’t they find one phrase that spoke of the movie on its own, with no comparisons? Though I agree with the quote that COB is much more exciting than HG, it’s still a bad way to advertise this movie. But maybe with all the negative reviews it was hard to find a positive quote about the movie at all – what do I know after all, I haven’t read a single one critic review of COB.
I’d like to see the director’s cut some time later, but with the movie not bringing profit it’s unlikely they will spend money on it. It’s a pity. Hopefully all I want to see there will be in in the deleted scenes on Blu-ray.

Well, this was the best day ever for me ever. Awesome Kingdom Hearts III footage released, after seven years of waiting for it? Check. Awesome previews from the Shadowhunter’s Codex? Check. (And I actually got to preorder the special edition today, too. Yay.). Mortal Instruments movie confirmed to be out by Christmas? Check. AND THANK YOU GOD FOR THAT. It would have been so stupid if they’d released it after December.
Anyway, this day has been amazring, and I can’t WAIT to get my hands on this DVD and eat up all the special features on it. Me thinks I’ll buy both versions of the DVD, that way I can play it even away from my Blu-Ray player, but still have all the special features when I AM using the Blu-Ray (plus, it just gives more money to TMI that way:)).
And about the Shadowhunter’s Codex… OMG. I’m loving it so much. There’s no doubt that the characters are very much themselves in it. I wondered how Cassie would handle characterizing the cast in just little scribbles, but she’s doing it marvelously. I love Clary’s story, about writing with an ice pack on her knee, since Jace is taking her training so seriously. LOL. (And that people thought they wouldn’t practice, but just makes out when together.) I wonder when Clary’s message takes place in the canon-verse…
And on another random note: I was at my local Books-A-Million today, and they had more TMI stuff than before! Do you think this is a sign more people are getting into it/sales are picking up? God, I hope so. And god do I hope CoA happens, and we get news about it soon. I’m dying over here!
