The wait is over: the ‘Clockwork Prince’ cover is revealed

The wait is finally over.

After Cassandra Clare’s “Infernal Devices” first captured our hearts and stunned our eyes with the beauty that was “Clockwork Angel,” fans have anxiously been awaiting the follow-up to the bestselling first novel in “Clockwork Prince,” which will be released in December 2011.

The cover was revealed at BEA this morning–just how jealous is everyone that they can’t be there. For those of us who couldn’t be there, the lovely ladies over at Mundie Moms unveiled the “Clockwork Prince” cover shortly after 9:15 EST this morning.

The long-awaited release of the Clockwork Prince cover was unveiled at BEA and then on Mundie Moms.

I have to say that this is by far the best cover of either of Clare’s series. Even though I am currently Team Will, Jem has absolutely taken my breath away on the cover and it just makes me that more anxious to read “Clockwork Prince.”

This cover does the best of capturing every detail of Jem.

Hot Asian boys for the win!

Now, who else is ready to just read “Clockwork Prince” already?!

Be sure to check out all of the “Clockwork Prince” teasers so far.

Mundie Moms also has a contest going over at their site where you can win a Limited Edition Clockwork Prince t-shirt and chapter samplers they gave out this morning at BEA.

What are your thoughts on the cover?

  1. My fav cover is CoB 😉 but holy moly! Gorgeous Jem! I wonder why we can’t see Will’s face very well on CA? That always bothered me. Oh well, it leaves more imagination to my team Will mind! Love him!

    • Team Will all the way! CP is by far my favorite cover because you can see Jem depicted in such great detail, from everything to his silver hair to his cane. It’s beautiful!

  2. LOVE it! I’m thinking it will make a nice addition to the wall in front of my desk @ work. SO excited for CP! {{:oD

  3. WOW WOW WOW!! How YOU doin’ Jem??!!

  4. Okay, maybe I’m just being picky, but I thought Jem was supposed to be from Shanghai, China. As in Asia.

As in, why is he Caucasian?

And some may argue, “Oh, but his dad was British!” Yeah, well his mother was Chinese. And Asian features tend to be more dominant in a bi-racial child, especially to white-recessive genes.

So WHY does Jem look like full-blooded white gentleman?

Okay, I’m done. That little thing was nagging me, and by the looks of comments all over the web, I’m the only one.

    • heyas. i definitely agree with you. asians features are more dominant…maybe they ran out of asian guys to take a picture? i dont know. i mean seriously, how many ASIAN people are on book covers? (starts looking for them on the covers of books) maybe because they arent cool enough or something?
im here to create another crazy argument btw people.
