Bonus content coming with paperback ‘Clockwork Angel’ and first-edition ‘Clockwork Prince’

Special content will appear in the paperback version of 'Clockwork Angel' and first edition copies of 'Clockwork Prince.'
Simon & Schuster announced that there will be bonus material in both the paperback release of Clockwork Angel (Oct. 4, 2011) and the first edition copies of Clockwork Prince (Dec. 8, 2011), pertaining only to U.S. versions.
The Clockwork Angel paperbacks will come with a short story called “Magnus’ Vow,” that “takes place during City of Bones and is from Magnus’ viewpoint.”
The first editions of Clockwork Prince will come with a letter from Will to his family, which he never sent, in the back of the book (ala Jace’s letter to Clary in City of Fallen Angels).
Cassandra Clare made sure to make it clear that it’s only first editions of Clockwork Prince, which are available at Barnes and Noble and other indie book stores.
She is unsure about eBooks and whether or not they will have it but her guess is not.
Here are Clare’s remarks about the letter:
“Yes, the same letter from Will that was in the Italian editions, but with some added material so it isn’t *exactly* the same.”
Also:
“This isn’t the end of bonus content in the books, just the first announcement. Stay tuned…”
As if Clockwork Prince could have gotten any better now we get a Will letter? This is great stuff.
Be on the lookout as we will be having giveaways for both a paperback copy of Clockwork Angel and a first edition copy of Clockwork Prince!

Damn it. Now i wish i didn’t have the hardcover of Clockwork Angel. but omg how exciting! I’ll probably end up buying the paperback just so I can read the short story =]
Definitely going to have a giveaway for the paperback, as well as buy one for myself 😉
Also, I don’t know how accurate this is, but according to Barnes and Noble, the paperback of CA is out Oct. 4th.
Thanks! I’ll take B&N’s word for it. They’re pretty reliable.
Does the paperback version of books come out way later than the hardcover version of books in the U.S?
Also this makes me sad coz now I won’t get either of those two cool things 😦 *sigh* so moving to America just so I can get awesome bonus stuff from awesome books.
