‘City of Lost Souls’ cover to be revealed in December

December is shaping up to be a busy month for Cassandra Clare fans.

Not only is December the month that Clockwork Prince, the second installment of The Infernal Devices, hit bookshelves, but Clare has revealed that the cover of City of Lost Souls, the fifth installment of The Mortal Instruments, will be revealed.

Here’s the official placeholder and message from Cassie:

For those who’ve been wondering when the City of Lost Souls cover is going to be revealed. This is the official placeholder. I’ve seen the final and I love it — keeping my fingers crossed nothing about it gets changed…

And for those wondering, the city depicted is Paris.

City of Lost Souls will be released on May 8, 2012.

I. can. not. wait. Seriously, I think star fire will come crashing to the Earth sending us all into an uncomfortable toastiness if Clokcwork Prince takes any longer to be released…As well as the cover for Lost Souls….Jeeeez :P….I’m excited 😀

Oh my goodness I can’t not wait to read clockwork prince and I’m about to go crazy waiting to see the cover of the city of lost souls! Oh my goodness! I can’t wait to read it!
