New ‘City of Lost Souls’ teaser in honor of Clary’s Fierce Four win

Clary won her match yesterday against Hermione! That means she advances to the last round of the tournament where she will face either Tessa or Katniss. Oh dear! But in the meantime, a CoLS teaser:
Clary looked at Alec steadily. She remembered what Isabelle had told her earlier, about knowing whether Jace was dead or not, and what she had said back. “Alec,” she said. “Don’t you feel anything?”
Alec’s eyes flew open, their blue darkening, and for a moment, Clary remembered the boy who had hated her when she first arrived at the Institute, the boy with bitten nails and holes in his sweaters and a chip on his shoulder that seemed immovable. “I know you’re upset, Clary,” he said, his voice sharp, “but if you’re suggesting that Iz and I care less about Jace than you do —”
“I’m not,” Clary said. “I’m talking about your parabatai connection.”

I love Cassandra Clare’s books more than any others, and I absaloutly hate the Hunger Game series cuz they’re so morbid, but i still think i would vote for Katniss. Clary is sort of a wimp at place, and she always wants to call the police about everything
i love clary and i don’t think she is and the hunger games seems pretty cool.
I sort of have to agree with you, actually. My feelings aren’t as intense (as in I don’t hate the Hunger Games, but I don’t love them, and Clary is sort of… yeah), but similar.
The Mortal Instruments absolutely rocks, but Clary can be irksome. Yes, she is strong, but in a way that does not make sense. She is about half my size, and yeah, maybe she is determined, but when you go ‘Come at me bro’ to things a LOT stronger than you, I face palm, and when it works for her, I am left making this hilarious rasping sound at the back of my throat. Her success does not really make sense half the time, and though it is admirable that her heart is good, luck has pretty much gotten her through the whole series, which is… it does not make her a fantabulous heroine. She was gifted with ridiculous abilities, and her love for Jace was incestuous half the time, and in the end it is semi irrational.
Katniss is one vicious girl, and all of her success is her own. What is more, you do not say ‘win’ for Katniss, but her struggle and awesomeness is understated, because she is not saving the world, she is saving herself and her family. Katniss vs.Clary, Katniss gets my vote. But lets not count out Tessa just yet.
Also, this message is not designed to hate on Clary. While she is not my favourite, I am glad that she is not a cowering wimp, and that she is good, but her success rarely seems her own.
No offense to Clary but Katniss would kick her butt and I love both series.
Clary should so talk to Alec more often since she figured out that he is gay
