City of Lost Souls special editions

There have been a lot of questions as to the special content that will be coming with City of Lost Souls (May 8, 2012), so I’ve decided to compile a master post as to where all the special editions can be purchased, as well as the special content included in them.

SPECIAL CONTENT:

In the United States

Barnes and Noble: Contains a letter from Stephen Herondale (Jace’s real father) to Jace, which was written before he died. Much like Jace’s letter to Clary that came with City of Fallen Angels, it will be affixed to the back of the book and detachable.

Walmart: Contains the short story “A Dark Transformation,” about how Jonathan Morgenstern took over the identity of Sebastian Verlac.

Costco: Contains the short story “The Act of Falling,” also known as the Dirty Sexy Alley Scene from City of Fallen Angels in Jace’s perspective.

Target: Contains the short story “A Question of Power,” in which Alec and Camille talk about Magnus and his father.

In Canada:

Indigo/Chapters: Contains a letter from Stephen Herondale (Jace’s real father) to Jace, which was written before he died. Much like Jace’s letter to Clary that came with City of Fallen Angels, it will be affixed to the back of the book and detachable.

Costco: Contains the short story “The Act of Falling,” also known as the Dirty Sexy Alley Scene from City of Fallen Angels in Jace’s perspective.

In Australia/In the UK:

Walker Books UK: Contains the short story “A Dark Transformation,” about how Jonathan Morgenstern took over the identity of Sebastian Verlac.

Walker Books Australia

Dymocks Booksellers: Contains the short story “A Dark Transformation,” about how Jonathan Morgenstern took over the identity of Sebastian Verlac.

Collins Booksellers: Contains the short story “A Question of Power,” in which Alec and Camille talk about Magnus and his father.

Leading Edge Booksellers (Independents): Contains the short story “The Act of Falling,” also known as the Dirty Sexy Alley Scene from City of Fallen Angels in Jace’s perspective.

Booktopia: Contains a letter from Stephen Herondale (Jace’s real father) to Jace, which was written before he died.

**NOTE** Special content does not come with e-books (i.e. Kindle, Nook, etc.), but that content willl be made available online after an exclusivity period ranging from 3-6 months.

  1. I am so excited for this book to come out! May 8th may be to late. I love the cover for it! Love how Jace and CLary look on it.

  2. that’s not fair. i have to buy 4 books to get the 4 things

    • no need to buy 4 books, just buy the one you want most, and in 3-6 months, Cassandra Clare said she will be allowed to post it on her website, or get with friends in a book club, you all can swap your books around to read, there is a way, its not meant for you to buy them all. I guarantee many people will be typing them up , and sharing that way. I bought the Costco version, and have some friends who got the others, and i also bought the Kindle edition, as i only read on it, but like to collect the first editions anyway
