Here is the press release from Simon & Schuster:

Ms. Clare took the world of young adult literature by storm in 2007 with City of Bones, her debut novel and the first installment in The Mortal Instruments series, which immediately became a New York Times bestseller. Constantin Films is set to start filming City of Bones for a theatrical release, currently scheduled for August 23, 2013.
City of Lost Souls, the fifth installment in The Mortal Instruments series, will be published in all formats on May 8, 2012. Clare will celebrate its publication with a book launch party at Pfeiffer Hall at North Central College in Naperville, IL, on May 8th at 7:00 p.m. For more information about the event, go to http://www.cassandraclare.com/tour-dates/.
