Austin Ku joins the Magnus casting race
With casting for ‘The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones’ currently underway, fans have seen a number of actors who have auditioned for the role of High Warlock Magnus Bane.
And the list continues with Austin Ku.

Ku joins five other Asian actors who have auditioned for the role. Shannon Kook, Simon Raymond, Ross Butler, Ben Cho and Osric Chau.

I can see him as Magnus. Although Osci Chau is my fave so far!
I did not like Shannon at first but, doing a little investigation he convinced me. The others (leave part Ben Cho I think) haven’t such experience.
I love, austin ku, shannon kook, and ross buttler but austin has IT when comes to the looks.
Ross Butler because he is half Indonesia and half dutch, SO MAGNUS #RB4MB

Erm… i usually never have an opinion on the actors but.. im sorry, he looks really nice though, but nooooooooo – i dont see Magnus like that ! In my head he is waaaaay younger looking erm

nah I still see either Shannon Kook or Ross Butler for Magnus. This look is a bit..older I guess? I can’t picture Magnus like that.
I guess it will come down to who gave the best performance on the day. Kinda getting over the Magnus thing, what about the others? Simon, Alec and Isabelle!

# team shannon all the other guys just don’t do it for me they don’t have the look yea there Asian but that’s not enough shannon has the look and the experience plus he has been a fan of the series of years now waiting for the moments.. its meant be shannon kook all the way… youtube him and see why!!!
I was really for Shannon until I saw Ross. When I saw Ross he was just my Magnus
It is to hard to choose! I liked Shannon the moment I saw the picture, but …….. all the other actors are great for the part too. I hope the casting director makes a good choice.
