Casting Talk: Kris Conde-Bolos has auditioned for Magnus
Another Magnus Bane contender has come forward.
International model Kris Conde-Bolos joins a long list of well over 100 actors who have auditioned for the role of the High Warlock.
Other actors that have come forward are Shannon Kook, Simon Raymond, Ross Butler, Ben Cho, Osric Chau, Austin Ku, David Sakurai and James Adam Lim.
‘The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones’ begins filming on August 15 in Toronto and will hit theaters on August 23, 2013.

I don’t know. he is probaly the most feminie. BUT if you cut his hair shorter and add glitter you could have magnus. Shannon and Kris are probaly the best choices.

look at his photos on his FB page; he looks more Indonesian than most of the others not that most Westerners know the difference between someone who’s Indonesian and someone who’s Japanese

I think he would be great…isnt his character a bit gay anyway??? He’s different – makes things interesting for once!
I had to Google other photos to make my decision. Body wise he works (Magnus is described as tall and impossibly thin) and if they were to make him a little more masculine looking he could be right. My biggest fear is that just because Magnus is bisexual they will over feminize him. He wears flamboyant clothes but he’s still a man.
He would make a beautiful Magnus 🙂

I know Kris personally and am a huge fan of these books. I think he would make a fabulous Magnus. ❤

perfect look for magnus, but not really seen how good he is at acting the part, so will have to suspend judgement on that, but what the casting directors of this film need to be wary about is casting everybody in the film so they all look perfect, Jamie Campbell bower used to be a model, Lily Collins is perfect beyond words, but i feel like some of the characters should be a bit grittier, more realistic?
I thought he was girl. They need a better picture of him, the hair and the shirt and his poster looks kinda girly. But I know in other pictures that you can tell for sure he’s a guy.
If you cover right above the lips he looks just like a girl. It freaked me out. O.O

What is his background? Conde sounds french. I looked at his FB photos and Google photos, such a unique look.This ones got mystery and attitude lets hope he’s not too girly. I think this guy a little bit too feminine for the role of Magnus. Even though, in the books, he is bisexual. It’s a bit over the top with his makeup from his twitter pics. Maybe, if he cut his hair to his shoulder, and then gel it u spiky, he may look like Magnus.

um i’m not really sure. i mean itmight work but i don’t know. he looks very feimine. yes mangus is flamboyant in his clothing, but he still looks like a guy. maybe phyisque wise itworks (like he’s tall and skinny). but he needs to look more manly
I think that Kris is honestly the best choice. I looked at pictures of the others and I don’t see Magnus in any of them. Plus Magnus is only part Asian…Just saying.
Honestly they can really make any of these guys look the part of Magnus. Its whether or not they can actually act the role.
