‘City of Bones’ filming will boost Toronto’s film production industry
According to Toronto.com, Oscar-winning producer Don Carmody will be teaming up with the folks at Constantin Film on The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones.
Carmody, who worked with Constantin on the Resident Evil franchise, told the website that filming on City of Bones would begin in the city around August 20.
“We’re very, very pleased and looking forward to working in Toronto again,” said Carmody, who is teaming with his partners from the highly successfulResident Evil film franchise, which had four installments earning more than $675 million worldwide.
“It is a great series,” said Carmody of the six-book Mortal Instruments, adding his daughters are huge fans of the fantasy books involving demon hunters and vampires in the mean streets of modern-day New York by author Cassandra Clare.
Variety has reported the film’s budget at $60 million, a figure Carmody would not confirm. But he said the film would be a big boost for Toronto’s film production industry, especially for visual effects companies.
While they will be shooting some in New York City, a bulk of the filming will take place in Toronto.
The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones, which stars Lily Collins, Jamie Campbell Bower and Jemima West, is slated for an August 23, 2013, theatrical release.

Oliver Jackson-Cohen as Jace. He would be a perfect fit for it. No doubt; He is gorgeous and a good actor. See pictures on Facebook and Google. 🙂 So hot.
But hes not jace, so get lost preaching.
Don’t see him as Jace. Seems too old and mature. not that Jace isn’t mature he’s just mature in a different sense. Although I really really don’t like who they casted for Jace AT ALL. But nothing can be done so I will suffer with my friends. 😛
