Tessa discusses her fears with Will in new ‘Clockwork Princess’ snippet
Clockwork Princess, the finale to the bestselling The Infernal Devices, won’t be released until March 19, 2013, but that won’t stop fans from theorizing and Cassandra Clare from sharing teasers and snippets to keep fans guessing.
Two Clockwork Princess snippets in the same day? Cassie is spoiling us today (no complaining here).
The latest snippet involves Tessa and Will, in which Tessa addresses her concerns for both Jem and Will:
Tessa craned her head back to look at Will. “You know that feeling,” she said, “when you are reading a book, and you know that it is going to be a tragedy; you can feel the cold and darkness coming, see the net drawing tight around the characters who live and breathe on the pages. But you are tied to the story as if being dragged behind a carriage and you cannot let go or turn the course aside.” His blue eyes were dark with understanding — of course Will would understand — and she hurried on. “I feel now as if the same is happening, only not to characters on a page but to my own beloved friends and companions. I do not want to sit by while tragedy comes for us. I would turn it aside, only I struggle to discover how that might be done.”
“You fear for Jem,” Will said.
“Yes,” she said. “And I fear for you, too.”
“No,” Will said, hoarsely. “Don’t waste that on me, Tess.”

Sad but beautiful. Doesn’t Will become Brother Zacharaiah?
I think jem does, once Cassie said that in tda we will find out how Emma got her last name and jem and will both have elegant cheek bones but jem has the slender hands that Zacharaiah has, I think Tessa ends up with will because A. She obviously loves him more and B. She’s not a normal warlock, and also how could cecily carry on the name. She is a girl? And jem would be brother Zacharaiah because he loved 2 people (Tessa and Will) will loves 3 (Tessa cecily and Jem)…. But knowing Cassie she’s gunna completely surprise everyone so we’ll all be freaking out reading this /: why can’t these books just be predictable!??!?
I know, it could be Jem to, but what Clary asked who he would die for, not who he loves. That still could be Jem though.so your right about that, but remember how Zachariah is most human, and what could make him that is the scars in his life, the huge connections and heartaches, which could mean Will. I love Jem, I do, but even with his total goodness, I don’t think the silent brother rune stuff would leave him part human. Have you read the snippets? Or the unidentified clips? You know Will is unhappy, you know Jem is unhappy because of it, you know Tessa can’t help but love Will now… We’ll see what happens…
Please tell me Jem doesn’t die! That would be terrible, but it would be the cause, wouldn’t it? And then cecily would have to keep the Herondale name, because of Jace, if Will is Brother Zachariah.

I want Tessa to end up with Will! I mean i love Jem and everything, but its so unfair. Will deserves Tessa just as much as Jem, if not more.
I sort of agree, I really love Jem, and I have a wicked tendency to root for the bad guy, but I love Will to, and what makes him stronger is the fact that he was a sweetheart n Wales, but needed to push people away, and I’d Tessa recognises that…
I think Cecily marries one of the Lightwoods. Alec Gideon Lightwood, looks like Will, eyes, and haircolor. Will’s sister looks like Will.
I think you’re right, and she marries Gabriel. In the scene where Magnus kisses Alec for the first time, he says something like, “you’re eyes, that color. It’s funny how genetics work.” So she probably does. Imagine Will’s reaction to that 🙂 Someone’s not going to be very happy.

i dont think that Tessa will end up with either one of them, shes obviously some sort of warlock thats gonna live forever, and i think that Tessas gonna realize this and leave both of them so that they could both find someone else becuz shell feel selfish being with one of them while they waste away but shell forever be the same. I think Jems gonna become brother Zachariah and Will…well i dont think hell ever get over Tessa so i dnt realy know what would happen to him.
Well, we know that both the car stairs and Herondale bloodline live on, I know Jem has no cousins, not sure about will, but I think cecily and Gabriel will end up together. I think ur right, Tessa will leave them when she finds out. But that won’t be for a while.plus she’d problably stop growing at like 18 not 16.
Cecily and Gabriel will probably end up together but then they wouldnt have the Herondale name they would be known as the lightwoods. Ur right i dnt think shed leave right away but i dnt think that shed be eigther of them if she did stay.
Yeah, but remember how the light woods always have the same eyes, but Alec has blue eyes? He’s problably Cecil’s descendent, he looks like will who looks like cecily. But it will problably be revolving around Tessa, because as much as she loves them both ( Jem and will) shell problably leave them when she figures out her past. Both their bloodlines live on, I don’t think that would happen unless Tessa was out of the picture.

Is it wrong that I love them both? I just can’t pick. I mean, I want Tessa to end up with Will, buti love Jem to. Andinmy defense, I only want Wessa because she loves him. She always has. So she lies to herself because she’s that sort of person.
