Cassandra Clare shares ‘Clockwork Princess’ snippet in honor of Jem’s YA Crush Tourney match
Cassandra Clare shared a snippet from Clockwork Princess in honor of Jem’s match against Gale from The Hunger Games in the first round of YA Sisterhood’s YA Crush Tourney.
“Wo wei ni xie de,” he said, as he raised the violin to his left shoulder, tucking it under his chin. He had told her many violinists used a shoulder rest, but he did not: there was a slight mark on the side of his throat, like a permanent bruise, where the violin rested.
“You — made something for me?” Tessa asked.
“I wrote something for you,” he corrected, with a smile, and began to play.
Cassandra Clare promised that every time one of her YA Crush-worthy guys goes up in a round in the YA Crush Tourney she will share some kind of snippet from a future book or deleted scene about said guy.
This is how it’s gonna work: every time one of the TMI/ID boys goes up for a round, I’m going to give you a snippet from a future book or a deleted scene about them. Doesn’t matter if they win or lose, I’ll just give you the snippet up front. You vote if you feel like it, hopefully ‘cause you love them, but don’t feel obligated.
Keep voting for #TeamJem in the YA Crush Tourney! Voting is open for 24 hours until 12:01 a.m. EST on July 14th.
:’) ❤
Owh my dearest Jem..*sigh*
makes my heart smile
I would choose you Jem, always 🙂
I play the violin too (absolutely awful, indeed), so this kind of scenes really touches me. Thank you Cassie!
Looks like Tessa is learning Mandarin; at least, somewhat. 🙂
Awww. While I am totally Team Will, that’s really sweet. And the way she is picking up on Chinese 😀
Still Team Will!
