I think that the cast is excellent, and will work wonderfully together. I am very excited to see how it all plays out.
I love them all but i hope Alec would be good too! I don’t really like the one imdb has suggested..
Finally!!! Plleeeeeaaaasssee release Alec and Valentine!!! Please!!!!
i think adrian will be a great luke and love the cast
So far Casting seems to be failing at it’s mission. One wonders how closely they’ve read the series. Jamie Campbell Bower would make a good Sebastian, not such a great Jace. Lily Collins, not even close. Need someone who looks like a real redhead! More the Kate Mara look. Ed Westwick would make a more believable Magnus Bane (remember he was raised in Madrid?) Can we please have a closer reading of the books for characterization? We want this to be the first of a multi-film franchise! Not the disappointing first & last. So far quite disappointed & unimpressed. Hope this won’t be the last of the series to be realized!
The people who are playing jace and clary are not what I was expecting. I don’t think they should play those parts. I want Alex Pettifer or how ever you spell his last name to play Jace. That’s all I needed to say.
*Pettyfer 🙂 I know how you feel. He would have made a perfect Jace.
Oh and I’m also really disappointed with the cast, not what I had in mind at all.
The casting of this Aidan Turner dude as Luke literally infuriates me. Luke is supposed to be older (mid-late 30s) and really wise. Turner looks like he’s 25 and I refuse to believe that he can sell the whole father figure aspect. As a huge fan of the book series, I haven’t even been all that overly hyped about any of the casting news (except Lena Headey, I think she makes a perfect Jocelyn). What’s with all the british people!?!?! If there’s ONE british accent in this film where there shouldn’t be, I’ll boycott this entire film franchise (if it’s even made well enough to produce a sequel). I’m scared that the studio is just going to sacrifice the quality of the story in order to churn the movie out ASAP and turn a quick profit. I feel a lot better about Zwart directing than I did about Scott Stewart, but with the current progress of this film, I see this being a one and done failure like Eragon, rather than a huge film franchise (as it should be) like Harry Potter. But leave it to Hollywood to take the reins on something cherished by fans and blotch it all to hell.
Oh…and if they are using the Twilight films as any sort of basis as far as success or artistic direction…well, let’s just hope that’s not even an option at this point…it’s too depressing…
PL your depressing…try to have more positive thoughts about this film ok, but then again i have the same thoughts…maybe this movie deserves to flop The TMI books are shallow & a little creepy with the whole Incest deal… but i love these books for a reason i can’t explain..sigh* depressed* 😦
