I am so very excited to announce that I will be heading to Toronto for THE MORTAL INSTRUMENTS: CITY OF BONES.
Sony Pictures and Cassandra Clare have invited TMI Source along with a few others for an exclusive on-set event at THE MORTAL INSTRUMENTS: CITY OF BONES set on Friday, September 21.

All you have to do is leave a video response and we will edit as many of the submissions as we can together. The main theme of this video will be “A Very TMI Thank You!” This is your opportunity to tell Cassie thank you for her books, a chance for you to tell Lily what you love about her personality, a chance to tell “Sideburns” Jeff that he is being stalked, but most of all it’s a way to say thank you to Cassie and the filmmakers!
Here are the only rules:
- Respond to Our Main Video HERE or email your video/video link to mortalinstrumentssource@gmail.com.
- Make sure you say “Thank You” Or some version of that phrase in your video. (This will allow us to HOPEFULLY include everyone in the video)
- Do not make your video response any longer than 2 minutes (there will be a lot of submissions and that is a lot of videos for someone to watch!)

It’s my idea of what I wanted the beginning of the City of Bones movie to look like. It’s my little script, but only for like the first scene. I’m writing the rest of it right now, and I’m posting one scene every week on my Facebook page, The Best Mortal Instruments Quotes. I would be so grateful, you would have no idea!

I’m already going to ask for that day off so I can go to the midnight premier. ❤ There are millions of fans rooting for you all! The books are a big part of my life && I know the movie is going to be as well so just know you are apart of something remarkable like that!

Please can you tell Lily, Jamie, Robert, Kevin and Jemima that we think they are all wonderful and can see hiw hard they are working.
Can you ask Harald Zwart (director) and Geir Hartly Andreassen (cinematographer) what their inspiration is for the cinematography, atmosphere and look of the film (aside from the source material)? Any other films, artwork et that might have inspired the look they are going for?
Can you ask director, producers, cinematographer, screenwriters what they’ve learned from other YA book to film adaptations? What they think other adaptations got right and wrong and what they took from it whilst developing the film
It would be great to get some interesting questions and answers about the actual film rather than the usual gushing fangirl boringness about ships or how awesome characters are.

Can you please tell Lily, Jamie, Robert, Kevin, and Jemima that I think they’re the most gorgeous cast of all time! I also think that they are the perfect people for the roles. Isabelle is fierce and sexy, just like Jemima, Kevin is so adorable and oh lord, his smile makes me melt. And Lily and Jamie…NO WORDS. Perfect Clary and Jace. My suggestions for questions are:
1) are any of the characters going to be speaking with an accent (that is not American)?
2) can we get any more detail on the information that the runes will come alive through GCI, etc
3) have elements been included in the script that will impart an understanding of what it means to become/be a shadowhunter, (for those in film audience who will have not read the books)…
4) Of the main cast, who fought the hardest to win their role.
5) Of the main cast, who the most different from the character they play
6) For Mr. Zwart/Screenwriter: What part or elements of the book/screenplay is the hardest to translate to film
7) For Mr. Zwart: what do you think are the critical factors you must get “right” as the director of this film

Question for Aidan Turner: Did you get to keep the fingerless gloves you wore on Being Human. The BBC supposedly auctioned the gloves off for charity. But in the photo on ebay, the gloves looked black, not green. I’d like to think you got to keep the original pair.
