Or maybe it’s the house when Clary and Jace find out their siblings from Valentine, the Wayland Manor if I remember correctly. It’s been a while since I read the first book.

That happens in the third book! City of Glass… So, maybe they’re recording some institute scenes… Maybe, the greenhouse scene?
its not the wayland manor they find valentine in, its renwicks, an abandoned hospital on a island near manhattan
