Cassandra Clare planning another SHADOWHUNTER CHRONICLES series
Even though THE MORTAL INSTRUMENTS and THE INFERNAL DEVICES are set to come to a close in the next couple of years, if Cassandra Clare has her way fans won’t have to say goodbye the SHADOWHUNTER CHRONICLES world.
We already know about THE DARK ARTIFICES, a sequel series to THE MORTAL INSTRUMENTS which is slated for a 2015 debut, but Clare is already thinking ahead past THE DARK ARTIFICES.
Clare hopes to continue the SHADOWHUNTER CHRONICLES with another series following THE DARK ARTIFICES trilogy.
There are no details about this series, as it is just in the planning stages, but it’s still exciting to hear that there’s a good possibility we won’t be saying goodbye to the SHADOWHUNTER CHRONICLES world anytime soon.

Yup, another three more books. But, at the same time we have “City of Bones” movie and hopefully the other ones as well as we wait for the books.
Boring! She needs to move on from the Shadowhunters and expand her horizons. 14 books set in the Shadowhunter world is seriously pushing it and continuing to narrow down her fanbase. You don’t see YA authors like JK Rowling, Suzanne Collins, John Green, Libba Bray pulling this. Heck, even that hack Stephanie Meyer has moved on from Twilight.
I have to agree with you on this- for me, even The Dark Artifices is going to be pushing it. I love the Shadowhunter world, but ithere’s going to be a time for it to end, and I don’t want to see it go on and on until everyone’s bored out of their minds.
I think people are bored already especially when YA readers are so fickle and there are so many new series’ coming out constantly. The first cycle of TMI is the only one that sells well consistently. It’s more the hardcore fans who are reading Clare’s books now and slowly siphoning of the general public which is why they sell well the first week but fall off so quickly. The more books there are in a series the less likely the average reader is to get involved becasue they are turned off by the perception that they need to “catch up” and by the level of commitment it requires.
If theirs further plots in her fathomless brain than by all means, Cassie, write on. And she just said she’s got other projects in the making.

Yaaaayyyyyy! I personally love that we will get more and more books, and I believe all TRUE fans would agree! I hope we get more of Tessa, she’s my favorite character ever
YESSS! I personally love the Shadowhunter Chronicles so much that I wouldn’t mind if Cassie kept on writing those books for the rest of her life! I especially love the fact that TDA will be set in modern day and that some of TMI characters will be making cameos in this series. So yes, by all means, I really hope that we get at least one more Shadowhunter series after TDA! 🙂

And I don’t think that it will be just for fans. You can read TiD without TMI so I don’t think there will be much informations that you need to read TDA and whatever comes after that!
YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 😀 More Shadowhunter books!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! But I have to say, no matter how many Shadowhunter books she does, TMI will ALWAYS be my FAVOURITE and the BEST 😀 (especially JACE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)
