The Turkish cover of CITY OF LOST SOULS

You have already seen the Italian and Polish cover of CITY OF LOST SOULS in September and October and this month brings another international cover. Let’s have a look at the Turkish cover of the fifth THE MORTAL INSTRUMENTS book.

Pretty cool, isn’t it? The Turkish cover design strongly resembles the US American one, we can see the Pont Neuf in Paris and the main couple Clary and Jace in an embrace. I love Clary’s hair and the way Jace holds her face in his hands. It’s really romantic.

The color scheme is simple and dark which is fitting for the book. The focus is on Clary and Jace and their outfits are more understated than on the original cover. I have to admit that this is my favorite international cover so far because it clearly shows the love Clary and Jace have for each other, a love that moves the sun and all the other stars.

Do you like this international cover and how would you design a cover for CITY OF LOST SOULS? Sound off in the comments.

    love it!

  2. I like it, however the pose looks too rough as if Jace is abusing Clary and forcing her to love him… I don’t know…

  3. needs some runes 😀

    • I think there are some runes on Clary and Jace’s arm but the quality of the picture isn’t the greatest. Once there is a better version of the cover I will edit this post.

  4. You think it looks loving and romantic… I’m sorry but I can’t see it; I thought the guy looks controlling and like he may be holding her face too tight – looks like Clary and Sebastian to me.

Hmmmm… well, Jace WAS under Sebastian’s control during most of the book.

  6. I love it. I know everyone is saying that it looks too rough and whatnot but I really like it. That’s how I pictured them in the book. Out of all the international covers, this is my favorite. I even like it more than the original one. Again, it’s my personal opinion.
